Lakeside Physio offer an 8-week group exercise program for people with Type 2 Diabetes. The program includes an hour-long exercise session each week, fitness testing at the beginning and end of the program, the provision of a home exercise program and education about diabetes.
Exercise has many benefits in the management of Type 2 Diabetes, including reduced blood sugar levels, increased strength and endurance, decreased cholesterol and blood pressure, weight management, and decreased risk of diabetes-related complications.
Our Type 2 Diabetes Program is a Medicare funded program with a small out of pocket expense. If you would like further information about how to access this program please contact us today.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Adelaide graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2022. Adelaide has a special interest in Women’s Health, musculoskeletal care and dance injuries.
Adelaide’s clinical focus includes exercise prescription and education across the continuum of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic floor health. Adelaide is also experienced in assessing and managing injuries to dancers and athletes, with a particular interest in foot and ankle injuries. Her goal-oriented approach focuses on restoring strength, control, and functional movement, including pre-pointe assessments and readiness training, to ensure a safe return to performance.
Outside of the clinic, Adelaide is an active member of St Michael’s Cathedral Wollongong – co-leading in the children’s programmes. She enjoys ballet and baking (if only as an excuse to eat lots of cake)
